Not without problems, but continues the Avengers tradition of big, bold blockbusters that don’t need to toss away thoughtfulness to remain pure popcorn fun.

Sneakily undercuts tropes of the young-adult hero’s journey. But in a more adventurous movie environment, this wouldn’t feel this fresh as it does.

Two well-off white men on class warfare, what’s good for women in Hollywood, and — most importantly — some movies they haven’t even seen yet.
