The story is almost beside the point, because Tom Cruise’s nude torso that I could be running my hands all over and because the young kittenish leads in this story cobbled together around awesome 80s hair-band stadium anthems are the weakest part of it.

There has always been something meanspirited about drag, but the meanness of this appalling movie descends to a cruel new low…
…is that Brad Bird made Tom Cruise human again. Or perhaps for the first time.

The most fun straight-up action movie in ages: while it touches on concerns about terrorism and rogue nukes, there’s nothing too heavy. But what makes it so special is how up-close and personal it is.
Look, when the house — the house — tells you to get out, you go. It’s not that hard.
