trailer break: ‘Case 39’

A movie about a child who’s a demon? Quelle surprise! What an original concept! Surely it’s an enormous mystery why this movie has been withheld from North American theaters, when it has already come and gone from cinemas around the planet? Is it simply too intense for American audiences, who might identify more closely with the setting than viewers in New Zealand, South Korea, Kuwait, and Mexico? Yes, that must be the reason for the delay of more than a year in releasing the film at home...

Case 39 opens in the U.S. and Canada on October 1; it is now available on DVD in the U.K.
