UPDATED AGAIN: Well, so. That was interesting. Apparently I am a “noted film critic,” which I would have dismissed as simple politenss on the part of the show’s host, except the other two film critics in my segment were from New York Magazine and Newsweek. That’s… wow. I’m honored — and stunned — to be presented in such company.
I did come across a bit self-conscious, I think, but it wasn’t so bad for my first appearance on camera. There were only like three people watching this anyway, and it was good to have some practice in front of a camera. Next time — like, say, when I get invited to chat with Keith Olbermann on Countdown *fingers crossed* about some silly pop culture story — I’ll be more polished.
UPDATED: Looks like my episode got bumped back a week. It’ll be on this Thursday, December 14, at 11:30PM Eastern, and again:
Friday 12/15, 6PM
Saturday 12/16, 11PM & 3AM
Sunday 12/17, noon
And with more repeats the following week (subject to schedule changes):
Thursday 12/21, 3:30AM
Saturday 12/23, 11:30PM & 3:30AM
Sunday 12/24, 12:30PM
Check me out: I’m on TV! I’ll be appearing on CourtTV’s Hollywood Heat, in the episode that debuts tomorrow, Thursday, December 7th, at 11:30PM Eastern. I taped about 45 minutes worth of chat about 2006’s best films, specifically films with crime and justice themes — I don’t know how much of it will end up in the episode.
The episode will repeat throughout the month. Enjoy!
CourtTV, 1130 pm. Got it. Next up: a cameo role on ‘Heroes’, where Flick Filosopher tries to stop Hiro from buying yellow spandex…
Oops. Did you get cut out entirely? Because if you didn’t, I sure missed it, and I just watched that whole damn episode. Bah, stupid CourtTV.
Man, I was thinking the same thing…they totally jipped ya! (as far as I could tell)
Doh! I TiVoed it but haven’t watched it yet. It’s possible they cut me out. :-(
Bastards!
She prolly got cut from her Heroes cameo too…
