when everyone hates you…

…you must be doing something right.

I simply must point out that in the comments following my review of Smokin’ Aces, I have been accused — accused, I tell ya — of being a “conservative Christian” (though not with such accurate spelling).

I love my work…

I have no idea what you are, nor do I care. You offer opinions on film. Some of them I agree with completely and find delightful to read. Others I sort of disagree with and still enjoy reading. With a few I completely disagree…and enjoy reading them. I cannot imagine making a personal attack on someone out of a disagreement over a movie review. I guess it’s one of those Consider The Source kind of situations. Hang in there.

We all know you’re a liberal Jew.

Only to the extent that all New Yorkers are, basically, liberal Jews.

I cannot imagine making a personal attack on someone out of a disagreement over a movie review.

If I have convinced just one person that being called a “conservative Christian” is a “personal attack,” then my work is done. :->

If being called a conservative christian in the USA of Mr. Dubya isn’t a personal attack, then what is?

Well, you do often take a kind of highbrow moralistic tone, which is often associated with conservative Christians.
