upcoming: blogging ‘Doctor Who’: the Torchwood arc

Oh, hey, speaking of being unwilling to give up Doctor Who, starting this Friday, to make up for the lack of new episodes, I’ll go back and start blogging about the second season, David Tennant’s first. If you haven’t seen it yet, buy a copy now and start watching, and we’ll talk about an episode a week from now till the end of the year.

This is perfect, since I’m currently two discs in to the second season (just watched The Girl in the Fireplace last night).

And the remaining Ecclestons, pretty please?

Speaking of the Ecclestons, here’s an amusing tidbit I just discovered:

“At least I won’t get pregnant… never doing that again.” -Capt. Jack (Torchwood, “Everything Changes”)

“The Face of Boe has just announced that he’s pregnant.” -Cathica (Dr. Who, “The Long Game”)

Guess a couple hundred thousand years can change your mind, eh?

Yes, I’ll finish the Ecclestons, too. But after Tennant.

That could’ve been the incident Jack was talking about in Everything Changes. Remember that Jack is a fairly seasoned time-traveller himself and that he had the nickname “Face of Boe” before meeting the Doctor.

True, except I didn’t mention that there was a televised broadcast showing Boe-in-a-jar so it’s probably safe to say it was post-Torchwood.
