tooting my own horn

I’m delighted to announce that I’m a brand-new member of the by-invitation-only Alliance of Women Film Journalists, a not-for-profit organization that is, in its own words:

an association of professional female movie critics, reporters and feature writers working in print, broadcast and online media, dedicated to supporting work by and about women–both in front of and behind the cameras–through intra-group promotional activities, outreach programs and by presenting awards in recognition of outstanding accomplishments (the best and worst) by and about women in the movies.

I’ll be sure to keep you up to date with whatever I’ve got going on with the group.

CONGRATULATIONS!!! What a wonderful organization and a wonderful honor to be a part of it. It’s well deserved. You continue to do our gender credit.
