…he thinks The Happening is the best B movie ever. He told CNN exactly that:
This is the best B movie you will ever see, that’s it.
Well, that’s settled, then.

I just read the same interview. Clearly the man is snorting too much Drano. The real question that comes out of the disaster that is “The Happening” is if Shyamalan is even a good director. Was “The Sixth Sense” a freak accident (kind of like a broken clock being right twice a day)?
I’ve analyzed his body of work — and guess what? It isn’t that impressive. For those interested: http://tinyurl.com/6qm3ro
Well, I doubt he’s going to say that it is the worst B movie ever. Even if it is. Especially if it is.
I guess we really should stop being shocked by this guy’s lack of modesty.
So we’ll just tell John Carpenter to clean out his locker then.
And Roger Corman…
And John Waters…
And Robert Rodriguez…
And Tobe Hooper…
And…
He has an interesting way of lowering his standards. Maybe he will call his next movie the ‘Best Movie Ever That Appears to Have Been Directed by Uwe Boll, but Was Actually Directed by Me; M Night Shymalan’
From what I’ve read, he’s about 3 letters too high.
“He has an interesting way of lowering his standards. Maybe he will call his next movie the ‘Best Movie Ever That Appears to Have Been Directed by Uwe Boll, but Was Actually Directed by Me; M Night Shymalan'”
WHAT A TWIST!
“My movie sucks because I planned for it to suck.”
Following that logic, perhaps he’ll plan for his next movie to succeed, and then it will.
Oh, wait. That was the plan this time… but it obviously didn’t work.
