‘Battlestar Galactica’: the question of Earth

The second of my four preview/speculations about the final ten episodes of Battlestar Galactica is up now at Film.com.

Please comment over there, if you would. So few postings at Film.com seem to generate much conversation in comments, and I’d love to impress the overlords there with something that looks like a comments thread here.

I usually go over there for your posts, but I’m avoiding even speculation about BSG now that the last 10 eps are so close. I want whatever happens to just wash over me and catch me unawares.

Fair enough. Perhaps I should have said, “if you’d like to post a comment, please do so over there.”

1) I’m very flattered that you quoted my post in your article.

2) I’d love to continue the conversation but film.com won’t let me sign on. I seem to be stuck in a Brazil-like loop: when it asks me for a “screen name,” it kicks me back to log-on page with an error about the password (which had to be correct to get to the “screen name” page. Any pointers to the tech support page there would be appreciated.

I’ll let the Film.com people know about the problem. Thanks for letting me know.

I think you’d get a lot more comments there if you weren’t forced to register in the first place…

I have no control over registration issues or the commenting system at Film.com.

I clicked on your link, but I only got a blank grey page, over which a message then appeared “cannot open this Internet site. Operation aborted”. I deleted the end of the link to get to http://www.film.com, but this gave me a ‘page unobtainable’usual full page message of this type, eg. have you typed the url properly etc. I tried the back button several times and eventually arrived at your review correctly displayed.

I have pop ups disabled and (I’m embarrassed to admit it!) am using IE.

I didn’t comment on the BSG review as I don’t watch it, but I admit I am reluctant to post where I have to sign in. I did recommend a few of your reviews.

Sounds like Film.com was having some sort of temporary glitch.

I wonder if the reluctance to register is beyond the paucity of comments over there…
