trailer break: ‘Law & Order: UK’

Take a break from work: watch a TV trailer…

I’ve been hearing about the expansion of the Law & Order franchise to London for a while now, and when I was there last week, I kept seeing this ad on ITV for the show. Somehow I had managed to not hear that both Jamie Bamber (from Battlestar Galactica, of course) and Freema Agyeman (from Doctor Who and Torchwood) were starring in the show until I saw the ad for the first time. (Plus: Bill Paterson as the Adam Schiff character? Perfect!)

This is unlikely to air on American TV, so I’ll have to resort to alternative means to see it. Wish I didn’t have to, but there we are.

Law and Order UK debuts in the U.K. on February 23 on ITV.

Jamie Bamber and Freema Agyeman. Lee Adama and Martha Jones.

Wow. The sci-fi fanboy in me is DYING to see this.

I knew Freema was going to be in this, but had no clue Jamie Bamber was!! I definitely hope that BBCAmerica will pick this up.

Something’s missing from that trailer, though. Where’s the “bonk, bonk”?

I understand that NBC is in fact aiming to air this in the US at some point. Whether that materializes, and when, we shall see. I’d not be surprised to see it bumped to USA. (Irony ahoy!)

L&O is rarely interesting to me anymore but…well, really, am I going to not watch Jamie Bamber when he’s flaunting his actual accent? No I’m really not.
