what’s an appropriate job for a woman in Hollywood?

Not director… not sound designer… certainly not key grip. The old standbys of porn star and prostitute still get attention, however.

It’s my latest look at “The Week in Women” over at the Alliance of Women Film Journalists. Enjoy.

If/when I win the lotto and get a chance to film that bio-epic on you that I’ve promised to do, I guarantee you I’m hiring director Martha Coolidge to mentor me as I figure out how the camera (a Sony HDW-F900 costs $100k!!! Whoa) works… Although I’ll prolly hire Randy Ser (Darkman) as my set designer since his nephew is an old college roomie of mine.
