question of the day: What Comic Con programming will you kick yourself for missing?

If you’re not going to San Diego Comic Con next week, you’ll miss the whole con, of course. But even if you are planning to be at the con, you’ll still miss a lot of it — there’s just too much of it to see.

But we can drool over the schedule, and sigh over everything we’ll miss. I can’t stand that I’m not gonna be at the Sunday Doctor Who panel featuring David Tennant, writer/executive producer Russell T. Davies, director Euros Lyn, and executive producer Julie Gardner. And I’d love to be at Saturday night’s screenings of Torchwood: Children of Earth and Doctor Who: Planet of the Dead — even though I’ve already seen both, it’s always fun to see stuff like this with an enthusiastic crowd.
Ooo, and on Friday there’s a Farscape 10th Anniversary Panel with executive producer/director Brian Henson, creator/writer Rockne O’Bannon, and stars Ben Browder and Claudia Black. Man, that’s gotta rock.

And then there’s the Comic Con parties

  • I was looking to get tickets a few months ago, and they were sold out. Then they added the Who/Torchwood guests to the lineup, and I was a bit upset. But, I went a few years ago and felt a bit overwhelmed by the size. I prefer a more intimate couple thousand attendee con.

Still, there’s Gallifrey in LA in February for my WhoCon needs…

  • Jackie

Neil Gaiman and Henry Sellick’s Coraline panel! Dammit, San Diego, why do you have to be on the other side of the country?

  • Besides the Doctor Who stuff, I’ll miss getting to meet June Foray.

  • Shadowen

If I were able to go, I would probably make the Farscape panel a priority.

Because I’m pathetic and tend to crush on beautiful sexy older women who are happily married and have kids. (Ask me about Cate Blanchett. Better yet, don’t.)

  • Speaking of Tennant… anyone read this yet?
