Friday fun! Here’s a screen capture from a DVD… and just to make things harder for 2010, this one is from a TV show which may or may not be in my collection (it’s sooo much easier to do screengrabs now that Netflix is streaming to my computer). Guess the TV show — you don’t need to guess the episode, just the show — and earn the respect of me and your fellow FlickFilosopher.com readers. One guess per comment — no fair hogging all the guesses.

Looks like something from the Tollan planet on SG-1.
Tripods?
Excellent guesses both, but wrong…
Has me thinking Buck Rogers in the 25th Century.
Damn! I was going to say Buck Rogers! And I am beaten to it! Isn’t this Dr Huer’s office building?
Wow…hard to narrow this down!
My fuzzy 38 year old brain knows this was in either Battlestar Galactica or Buck Rogers…or maybe the short lived Logan’s Run series.
I know it was reused in Otherworld a few years later.
It’s a bit like that LA lighthouse that croped up in V, and Matt Houston and the A-team et al.
Quantum Leap?
Definately Quantum Leap. From the S2 episode Honeymoon Express.
I swear that building popped up on a handful of futuristic-themed tv shows, mostly from the late 70s and early 80s.
Sliders?
This is way too obscure, but I’m sure I saw that building in “The Lathe of Heaven.”
It’s definitely from “Buck Rogers in the 25th Century”.
That may well be. But this screengrab is indeed from *Buck Rogers in the 25th Century.* So Keith wins!
Woowho, my second screen cap contest win! Wasn’t sure about my chances with the switch to TV shows, but this is one I did watch quite a bit of when I was younger.
From what I’ve read, it’s the corner of the San Diego State University Library.
I also read that some of the stuff used in Buck Rogers had been previously used it the original Battlestar Galactica, so it might have been seen there too.
I’m really surprised that I’ve never seen the Health Sciences Center at SUNY Stony Brook in more low-budget science fiction: http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:SUNY_Stony_Brook_MC2.jpg
