‘Doctor Who’ thing of the day: Russell Davies and Julie Gardner talk about rebooting the show

Reader Henry sent in this link, saying:

Clips like this one is a great way for me to fill the “Who” gap while waiting for Season Six part 2.

It’s a BAFTA hosted interview from 2009 with Russell T Davies and Julie Gardner, “looking back at their remarkable journey as the show’s executive producers.”

They’re interviewed by Times columnist Caitlin Moran, who is a huge Doctor Who geek. It’s really lovely to see all the affection all three of them have for the show and the characters, and to hear them talk about it in a funny, intelligent way.

The video is not embeddable, but you can watch it at BAFTA’s Web site. It is accessible from non-U.K. IP addresses.

Enjoy.
