to my readers in the London area

I need someone in a position of official authority to witness the application for my new Irish passport (which was stolen along with all my other important stuff this week): a police officer, lawyer, bank manager, doctor, notary, peace commissioner, school principal, accountant, or clergyperson.
The witnessing involves signing my passport application and the back of my photos to state that you are satisfied that I am who I say I am. It’s possible that you might be contacted by the Irish embassy at some point in the weeks after to double check your credentials and your affirmation as to my identity.

I’d be happy to come to you or meet you somewhere else convenient, buy you lunch (or dinner, coffee, a pint, whatever) to thank you for your time and assistance.

If this is something you’re willing and able to help me with, please please drop me an email.

Thanks.

UPDATE: My wallet has been found (see here) and my Irish passport recovered before it had been reported stolen, so I don’t need to reapply. Never mind!
