Ghost Rider enacts spirit of vengeance upon critics

Ghost Rider Spirit of Vengeance

It appears that Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance will not be screening for critics in United States or Canada before it opens on Friday. There was a press screening here in London yesterday morning, and I had planned to attend… until I received an email from the publicist specifically informing me that I would not be admitted if I showed up. The ostensible reason for this was the “strict embargo” that is in place until opening day. I, of course, am known for breaking embargoes left and right — hint: no, I’m not; I’ve never broken an embargo — so clearly, there would be enormous danger in letting me into that screening.
Anyway: I’ll get to the first showing I can once the film opens on Friday. If the showtimes are with me, I can get a review posted by the time the East Coast is getting into the office that morning. They can’t stop that from happening.
