another reminder not to blog for free for a megacorporation (and other adventures in social networking)

What my followers on Facebook, Twitter, and Google+ saw today:
• Oh, of course they are. Daleks returning to ‘Doctor Who’

• So fucking ballsy: “This judgment removes any question about the merits of this case and we look forward to continuing the mutually beneficial relationship we share with our growing roster of interesting, dedicated and engaging bloggers.” How long does HuffPo think writers can remain “interesting, dedicated and engaging” working for free? Huffington Post reacts to judge’s ruling

• In other words, bloggers who work for free, if you think your dedication and hard work and expertise and effort means fuck all to Huffington Post, you are sadly and seriously deluded. Also too: If you don’t expect and ask for payment from the get-go, you will never get it. Why would anyone pay you when you’ve demonstrated you’re a sucker who’ll work for free? Unpaid bloggers’ lawsuit vs Huffington Post tossed
