Doctor Who thing of the day: time traveler yarn

Yesterday I posted images of the TARDIS tea cosy made by my friend Brenda, ace knitter. In her Web travels as an ace knitter, she invariably comes across amazing things. Like this, at Knit Picks:
time traveler yarn

This is yarn specifically made for knitting socks with, and when you knit socks with it, it makes the sock stripey. Which is a technological magic worthy of the Doctor, methinks.

Clearly, if you want socks that look like Tom Baker’s scarf, this is the raw material you need.

(If you stumble across a cool Doctor Who thing, feel free to email me with a link.)
