BBC America had Matt Smith pose with a Delorean outside its big-screen premiere of “Asylum of the Daleks” at New York’s Ziegfeld Theater:

Why? Is this some sort of faux-fannish corporate dyslexia I had been previously unaware of?
This is just weird. Yes, Back to the Future and Doctor Who are both about time travel. But I cannot recall another instance of corporate promotion of a property so blatantly invoking a property of a competiting corporation. Am I the only one who finds this odd?
