question of the weekend: If your birthday could be a special commemorative day, what would it honor or raise awareness of?

Wil Wheaton Don't Be a Dick Day

Recently it was Wil Wheaton’s birthday, and he declared that he would like, henceforth, for this day, July 29th, to be known as Don’t Be a Dick Day (via @feliciaday).

I think this is an excellent idea, and I commend Wheaton for his community-mindedness.

But Wheaton’s declaration induced some stress in me as well. For it reminded me that my birthday was coming — it is, in fact, tomorrow — and yet I have no idea what I would wish for people to spend every August 19th thinking about. (Don’t Be a Dick Day is already taken, apparently.) Turn Your Brain On Day? Hug a Movie Day? Drink More Wine Day? Ack. I can’t decide.

Any suggestions would be most welcome.

If your birthday could be a special commemorative day, what would it honor or raise awareness of?
