This photo was actually taken over Christmas/New Year’s. Very few of the photos I post were actually taken on the day I post them.
But generally, no, people are not very religious here in London that I’ve noticed.
We don’t really have “Catholic neighborhoods” in England; the immigration was long enough ago. Even down the Kilburn high road, nobody will look at you twice if you go into a restaurant and order meat on a Friday.
Well, to be fair, meatless Fridays during Lent are hardly the big deal among most Catholics I know that they were prior to Vatican ll. But they are still observed here and there–so much so that one nationwide fast food chain actually has a list of meatless items that can be eaten during Lent.
