On other occasions in other places when the bounty has been a bit more tempting, it’s been known to produce Stanley knives still in their packaging from the shop where they’ve just been stolen…

surely people just commit crimes and throw them in here, destroying the evidence of their crime!?

I doubt tossing a knife in here would destroy any evidence.

I imagine this is more aimed at kids who carry knives to feel tough before they hurt anyone with them.
