Kat and Curt’s TV Re-View is a new podcast that is taking a fresh look at two fan-favorite shows in tandem, comparing and contrasting and just generally geeking out about them together. Says Kat, by email to me:
My friend and I are starting a podcast in which each week we watch 1 episode each of Buffy the Vampire Slayer and the new Doctor Who, starting with the first seasons and going in order. I’ve never seen Buffy and he’s never seen DW, so we’re constantly switching off and trading places. We are both very interested in the academic study of literature, so we try to go quite deep in our analysis into theme, character, writing technique, etc., and we’re finding a surprising amount of parallels between the two shows.
Episode 1 is an introduction to the podcast, with Episode 2 beginning the actual episode discussion. Follow along at Kat and Curt’s TV Re-View to keep up with new episodes. Kat and Curt are hoping for listeners to watch along with them and join in on the discussion at their site. So go do that!

Interesting! I’ve watched Buffy from when I was 18 (and I am very devoted to it), so it would be fascinating to see someone coming to it new, as an adult. Will have to have a listen!
