watch the short film “Aningaaq,” a complement to Gravity

Probably don’t watch this if you haven’t seen Gravity yet:

The short is by Jonas Cuarón, Alfonso’s son, who cowrote Gravity with his father.

I like the mirroring to Stone’s situation with the desolation of Aningaaq’s world, and yet he’s not isolated. He’s got the dogs and his wife and child… but he’s also dealing with a matter of imminent death, too, like Stone.

I thought this was an utterly charming short and am glad that Jonas Cuaron made it.
