I’d be afraid to turn away from these; I’d worry that the second I turn my head, they’d start coming after me. (That might be a Weeping Angel reference, but I’m more thinking of an Escher painting where lizards climb out of a paper- it always kind of creeped me out)
And it is odd to see so many metal statues of giant lizards in a country which is not exactly known for its large number of big reptiles. Perhaps it is an Escher tribute…

I remember that Escher painting.
