slower posting around here through January 8th

I am about to get on a plane to head to NYC for Christmas and New Year’s. I still have some reviews to post, but things may be a little slower than usual around here for the next few weeks… and the London photo of the day may switch over to the New York photo of the day for a bit. Depends on whether there’s anything pretty or interesting in the Big Apple.

Have a wonderful holiday, whatever you’re celebrating.

There was a giant ape people used to describe as “the eighth wonder of the world,” but I haven’t seen him around here in a while. I hope nothing happened to him.

oh, i know the ape you mean. i heard he got an agent, went Hollywood in the 70s and then set off for new zealand — haven’t seen anything about him in the trades for a while.

And there was light, and it was good, and the light was divided from the darkness. And evening and morning were the first day.
