Interesting and encouraging – good to see that it’s not just you doing this sort of thing, though I was a bit puzzled by their early suggestion that only women can properly review films aimed at women. I think there are lots of good reasons to have female critics and reviewers, but that’s not a terribly major one in my book.

I also don’t think that only women can review movies aimed at women. But I do think that women can have different perspectives on stories about women that men cannot have, and so are getting lost when criticism is so dominated by men.

Absolutely. To me that’s a much better reason to encourage female critics/reviewers.
