Two weekends back, London played host to an absolutely marvelous festival of lights called Lumiere London. For four evenings, some of the most famous areas of Central London turned off their usual lighting and let special art installations incorporating light illuminate the night.
The flying fish on Regent Street were, far and away, my favorite installation of the event. Or maybe they were gas whales from the upper atmosphere of Jupiter? It really did look like they were swimming up the street.

These creatures were truly magical, and I’m so happy I got to see them in person.
