London photos: flying fish at Lumiere London
Or maybe they were gas whales from the upper atmosphere of Jupiter?

The lanterns strung across Piccadilly were simple, but beautiful. I wish they would have left them there forever.

The King’s Cross Pond got an extra added bit of art: a diving board made entirely of light.

I don’t know how the artist got so precise with the color.

In the big plaza called Granary Square, near King’s Cross, the Circus of Light was projected onto a former warehouse.

In the fountain in Trafalgar Square.

In St. James’s Square, off Piccadilly, there were flying men.

The elephant up in the arcade on Regent Street was marvelous.

My second favorite Lumiere installation of the event was this… thing hovering over Oxford Circus.

This display, near King’s Cross, combined plastic bottles and light to unexpectedly beautiful effect.
