Top Gun? I thought we were supposed to quote The Godfather.
My go-to is Citizen Kane. All the biggest problems I see in my world seem to just cry out for lines from my favorite dissection of a narcissist. I’ll let you fill in what I’m answering.
Mind You…the use above of the Top Gun line is spot ON!

Damn. I wish I had been a real fly on the wall during that movie watching session.
Which reminds me, prior to this election season, my actual go-to movie was The Blues Brothers…Citizen Kane was actually my third choice behind TBB and Whatever Happened to Baby Jane?.
How quickly I forgot.
:-(
Oh how I just wish for the right moment to scream “But you are Blanche! You are!” For what we have now, it is not enough.
Great articles, and scary.
Maybe Trump’s not alone in his lack of moral awareness. There’s an old FF thread, about Tom Hiddleston playing Loki at Comic Con, where you expressed concern about the audience eagerly lapping up his speech. MaryAnn responded that we just love FICTIONAL villains, and we surely wouldn’t cheer on such a demagogue in REAL life. Ah, that was such a comforting thought, back in 2013.
My go-to has always been Ghostbusters. Or maybe Raiders.
