curated: Star Trek Continues E09: “What Ships Are For”

I love this series!

I continue to marvel at how perfectly pitched this fan series is, how well it matches the tone of the original show. Is this episode’s story about racism and immigration a tad heavy-handed? Absolutely. But I would expect nothing less. This episode would fit right into the 1960s ethos… and the fact that it is so very pertinent to the world today is something we should be ashamed of.

Excellent cameo from Star Trek: The Next Generation’s John de Lancie.
