UPDATE 12.04.18: My review is here.

Woo-hoo! Avengers S.T.A.T.I.O.N. (Science Training and Tactical Intelligence Operative Network), the multi-room interactive experience based on the Marvel Cinematic Universe, has been around the world — New York, Seoul, Paris, Singapore, Beijing, Taipei, and Las Vegas — and now it’s coming to London, opening at the ExCel exhibition center on November 29th, 2018, and running through March 31st, 2019.

This is the kind of stuff you get to do:

• You can try to lift Thor’s hammer in the Thor Observatory.
• You can take a simulated flight inside one of Tony Stark’s suits (his powered-armor suits, not his power Armani suits, that is) in Iron Man Engineering Bay.
• You can explore Bruce Banner’s Lab.
• and a lot more.

Apparently the whole shebang is backed up by as much real science and technology as possible (without spoiling the fantasy, of course), with the help of NASA. It’s educational! Bring the kids. (Or leave them home and hog all the fun for yourself.)

The whole thing features tons of actual props and costumes from the MCU, and I’m told the London experience will debut new character displays on Black Panther, the Wasp, and Thanos.

Maria Hill gives us a little peek at Avengers S.T.A.T.I.O.N., and a little pep talk to get you psyched to train with the Avengers:

I’ll be checking out Avengers S.T.A.T.I.O.N. next week and will report back forthwith.

Sooo, it’s just a prop replica securely bolted to the floor? How much did they pay the genius who designed THAT activity? :-)

The simulated Iron Man flight sounds way cool. It’d be great if they had some kind of VR involving Ant-Man’s POV while shrunk. I’m worried what they’ll come up with for the Thanos experience, though. Hopefully it’s not just half the customers who’ll be exiting through the gift shop. :-/
