The British equivalent of the “got any cigarettes?” scene from the original Dawn of the Dead, in which the protagonists respond to a stranger’s request for cigarettes by assuring said stranger and his friends that they have none. Of course, as soon as they’re out of sight of said stranger and his friends, everyone in the group feels free to light up a cigarette…
