camping out in Trafalgar Square for ‘Harry Potter’

Not me. Oh gosh, no. I’m sitting safe and comfy indoors on this rainy Thursday. But there have been fans camping out for days in Trafalgar Square for tonight’s premiere of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2. From Yahoo! Movies U.K.:

Unfortunately some fans were told they would not be able to pitch up tents in the square and as such they have been at the mercy of the elements. The first fan in line for the London premiere was Nicole Beaudet, a 22-year-old from Vancouver, Canada, who’s been waiting in line seven days, the Daily Star reported.

We’ve been told that there will be several news helicopters taking to the skies and that security will be on high alert. With the film being screened simultaneously in three of the biggest cinemas in London, the event will be the biggest held in the capital since the Royal wedding.

Of course, all the fans camping out aren’t actually going to get to see the film: they’re just waiting to catch a glimpse of the cast members as they arrive for the premiere.

This is what the place looked like last evening:
