Yes, kids know when they’re been pandered to, and misled, and cheated, and marketed at. As Riley says, “Some girls like superheroes and some girls like princesses. Some boys like superheroes, some boys like princesses.” If a four-year-old gets it, why don’t the toy companies and the ad agencies?
