I’ve decided to give the merchandise thing another try. I’ve used Zazzle to create three different T-shirt designs: “cinevore,” “biast,”

and “story geek.” You can customize the shirt style and color (there’s well over a hundred different options for you to play with, including stuff for kids and babies). All three designs are also available on both round and square lapel buttons.
My U.S. store is here.
Everything is available internationally, too:
Today until the kickoff of the Super Bowl, Zazzle is offering 25% off all products. Use code: PREKICKOFF13 . (That might be U.S. only.)
I’ve set my royalty to the lowest possible amount, to keep the item costs down. So that means I’ll sell thousands of these, right?
Zazzle has many other items available to print on (bags, smartphone cases, etc). If you’d like something else, let me know, and I’ll get to it as quickly as I can.
Feel free to discuss other designs you might like to see.

As soon as they admit that the email address I gave them is valid. (It’s just not my day today, clearly.)
Um, who?
Zazzle – I tried to register with an address unique to them so that I can turn it off if I get unwelcome mail, as I do with pretty much any company. Nothing too strange, just letters, dots, and an @ sign, but their server claimed it was invalid. So I’ve opened a support ticket – it was accepted there – and we’ll see what happens.
Not really a design, but might be the basis for one: something like
I want a good plot
AND good characters
AND good direction
all in the same film.
Is that so hard?
but what about those of us with a CafePress account?! :(
Seriously?
You’ll get my order shortly.
Would I sound pushy if I put in a request for the long-awaited Flick Filosopher Bingo card/poster/shirt?
I’ll keep that in mind.
Just wondering if it’s me, or a temporary thing, but this merchandise seems to have replaced the recent comments section on the top page…
It’s not just you. I replaced that. You can still get recent comments here:

Whoa. The basic white shirt is 14.95, but the color ones are 23.95?! A $9 difference? For a simple t-shirt. I’d order one, but, MAN, that’s a lot for a t-shirt. Perhaps in the future.
I totally agree with you, but I bought the black shirt, anyway, because I’m a New Yorker and all my other clothes are black. Also, it’s a chance to support MaryAnn and flickfilosopher.com.
I don’t set the prices. Well, I could make them higher and get more royalty for myself, but I didn’t. I’m getting only 10% of each sale, which is the lowest Zazzle lets you set the royalty.
This is part of why I stopped doing merch in the past: it was priced too high (which it has to be if there’s any point in me doing this, so I get some money out of it) and hardly anyone bought.
Oh, I don’t blame you at all. I want you to make as much money as you can out of this. I just don’t get the big price difference between white and color. A couple bucks, maybe, but $9? That’s steep.
14.95 is a no-brainer. 23.95 is a stop at the grocery store. Know what I mean? I’ll get one, regardless, as I’ve supported your site as long as we’ve been able to. It just has to wait a bit.

I’ll get a shirt for sure, but will you be putting out mugs? Cuz I’ll buy multiples of that!
I’ll try to make some time to do up some mugs.
