Phantom (trailer)

I loved this movie the first time I saw it, when it was called The Hunt for Red October.

You won’t guess from this trailer, but the film is set on a Soviet submarine. Will there be a clever way to seque from subtitled Russian to unaccented American English, like in Red October? I’m dying to find out!

“Most things in here don’t react too well to bullets.”
What on Earth has Duchovny been doing for the last ten years, and in whose attic is he keeping his portrait?
If anyone makes this watchable, it’ll be Ed Harris.

I’m hoping that this is actually a precursor to Pacific Rim, just so the sub captain is wrong. “You fool! We could have sealed that dimensional breach in the Pacific! You weren’t told because you don’t have a access to compartmentalized information! Also, the last person we told about the problem started talking about something call the Evangelion Solution.”

And at some point, someone will make an offhand remark that is only that guy over there mopping out the bilges hadn’t decided to play Admiral in the Pond we could have left the giant robots to Saturday morning cartoons.
