I’m particularly impressed with the change in Ronan’s demeanour (and appearance) through this film — sure, some of it’s makeup, but it’s still a challenging arc to pull off.

Finally saw this on Netflix the other evening. Good movie. There were a couple of big emotional leaps made (I’m sure there was more detail, more ‘showing’ of how they happened in the book) that seemed awfully quick, but, overall, a good story.

This is still on Netflix (or is on it again) and we (me and early teens boy) watched it again yesterday. Yup, a good story. One of these days I ought to read the book.
