Well, here’s Hollywood’s idea of counterprogramming for Star Trek: A bunch of idiots who appear to sincerely believe they could get away with the dumbest ever accidental robbery of bad stuff from bad guys. (Or maybe it’s not accidental?)

What a shame for Mos Def. He deserves much, much better than this. And it’s yet another indictment of Hollywood that this is the best it has to offer him.

I haven’t heard anything about press screenings of this one, and I’d be surprised if it screened. But I may go see it anyway, just for shits and giggles (and Mos Def).

Next Day Air opens in the U.S. on May 8; no U.K. release date has been announced.
