trailer break: ‘Up’

Take a break from work: watch a trailer…

Ah, this just looks lovely. Can’t wait to see it.

Up opens in the U.S. on May 29, and in the U.K. on October 16.

Judging by what I’ve seen so far, it looks like it has a sort of Adventures of Baron Munchausen vibe to it, which might worry Pixar’s accountants but it makes me very happy.

I never allow myself to get too hyped, but I’m pretty excited about this one (although the two main characters seem to be male once again… why not a crotchety old woman and/or a chubby girl scout? Girls like adventures too). Monsters Inc. is my favorite Pixar movie, and Castle in the Sky is one of my favorite animated movies, so it’s very tough to hold my expectations in check, especially after reading the reviews from Cannes.
