Chocolate poop pants are mortifying and hilarious for little boys. Ditto being publicly seen in one’s underwear. Just don’t get beat up by a girl or accidentally wander into the girls’ bathroom. That will haunt a guy for life.

At least American boys are being tutored in the ways of American manhood. Poop is funny. Girls are icky. Oh, and be sure that everyone’s expectations for you are as low as possible.

The wimpy kid’s gonna fit in just fine.

Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Rodrick Rules opens in the U.S. and Canada on March 25, and in the U.K. on May 27.
