trailer break: ‘Blindness’

Take a break from work: watch a movie trailer…

It’s Children of Men, except everyone’s blind instead of infertile. Neat. I do so crave smart science fiction: I hope this qualifies.

I love the cast: Don McKellar, Julianne Moore, Mark Ruffalo, Gael Garcia Bernal, Sandra Oh, and Danny Glover. Nice. And it’s from director Fernando Meirelles. Can it go wrong?

Blindness opens in limited release on September 19.

Can it go wrong?

Nope. I’d have to check him out in a red onesie, but Ruffalo might be my new pick for the “Greatest American Hero”. And Bernal’s never been in a bad movie, right?

Wow. This looks like it’ll be really good.

Let’s just hope that the “Oh my God” doesn’t come from seeing an 8-foot tall pitcher plant ambling down the street. :-)

This looks cooool. I only hope it doesn’t jettison its own brain halfway through.

I like smart sci fi, too… but what I hate is a trailer that shows the whole goddamned movie. Why do they do that?

I guess they lock these people away and then the rest of the world goes blind. Whoops, spoiler.
