What are the greatest things we have already achieved or could conceivably achieve that future superevolved cockroaches or alien tourists would look at and go, “Huh. Those humans weren’t half bad”?

I’ve given green lights to plenty of films in recent years, but I can’t shake the sense that, in the aggregate, movies suck, and have been sucking since 2000.

Give me some good iOS games!

This is purely as an exercise in creative contrarianism. I don’t imagine anyone reading this would actually welcome a “second-screen” experience at the multiplex.

How would you be spending your time if you didn’t have to worry about earning money? Or are you lucky enough to be passing your days doing something close to your dream job?

What is it about folktales that appeal to us? What elements of folktales do you particularly like or hate, especially as Hollywood deals them out?

Mine might be: “House Johanson: Wine? Or Tea?”

If so, what sort of special packaging do you like, and do you display it more prominently than other box sets?

Mine must be chewy, buttery croissants with jam — almost any kind of jam. And any breakfast is more special and more decadent if you can eat it outside…
