Is Doctor Who going to insist on pinning down a concrete, rational explanation for every human fear?
It doesn’t necessarily have to be from a terrible film. I can imagine someone otherwise loving Citizen Kane who thinks the discovery of Rosebud’s identity at the end is howlingly idiotic.
Surely something called the Boston Molasses Disaster is begging for the Coen Brothers’ treatment, no?
Is this just too optimistic a scenario for our anxious, paranoid times? Or is something else going on?
