2001’s Legally Blonde is on Max in the US, MGM in the UK, and other services as well.

The first one that comes to mind for me is the utterly delightful Legally Blonde. Its protagonist, Elle Woods, is surely one of the sweetest, kindest characters ever to feature in her own movie.

Plays with hierarchies and rivalries of women’s lives that often aren’t seen onscreen, and embraces women as powerful. But it’s just not very funny about it.

A film full of spectacular landscapes of both the natural world and the human spirit. This is what it looks like when women get to be people onscreen.
