This episode completely freaked and creeped me out. In the good way.

Oh no! Ryan Britt at Tor.com reveals why he’s “Probably Going to Have to Break Up With Doctor Who.” Sadness!
There’s a ton of stuff here that kinda doesn’t make sense, but I kinda liked “Hide” anyway. It reminded me of the Gothic era of Tom Baker’s tenure as the Doctor, which might be the single most consistently fun stretch of the show ever.
Alien on the Red October… though actually, this episode reminded me most of the Peter Davison-era Doctor Who story “Warriors of the Deep.”
I’m so relieved to discover that I really like this episode.
