trailer break: ‘Fifty Dead Men Walking’

Take a break from work: watch a trailer…

I still contend that Jim Sturgess is gonna be a huge star — he was amazing in Across the Universe — but maybe not for this movie. Not that the movie may not be fine; I just don’t see a story about an Irish man who goes to work for British intelligence in Belfast in 1980 can really be a rousing hit with mainstream audiences on either side of the Atlantic… or on either side of the Irish Sea, for that matter.

Fifty Dead Men Walking played theatrically in the U.K. this past spring and will be available on DVD in Region 2 on September 7; opens in the U.S. on August 21.
