retro ad: 1980s Polaroid commercial with James Garner and Mariette Hartley

Something about this ad makes me think they’re off to a New Year’s Eve party, so here it is for this week.

If you’re old enough, and American enough, you may recall that the series of Polaroid ads with Garner and Hartley were so popular thanks to the actors’ natural bantering that many many people assumed they were married in real life. They were not.
