question of the day: What phrases or expressions do you wish critics — including me! — did not use in our reviews?

There’s been an especial level of hate directed at film critics at the moment: fanboys hurling abuse at those of us who don’t completely love The Dark Knight Rises; Kevin Smith’s latest inexplicable “anti-critic tirade,” as Twitch described it, which critic Scott Weinberg easily demolished. I’ve long misunderstood the hate critics come in for, and it’s something we’ve certainly discussed often enough that I’m getting tired of hearing myself talk about it.
So let’s turn the tables a little: No one presumes that film critics are above criticism ourselves, and I’m sure there are things that critics do that bug even our biggest fans. Here’s your chance to sound off:

What phrases or expressions do you wish critics — including me! — did not use in our reviews?

Have fun… but don’t be too mean. We critics are feeling fragile enough right now.
