Ack! This is one I missed at the London Film Festival. There just weren’t enough hours.
I remember this story vividly, how horrified all of New York City was. I never understand how it can satisfy any honest police officer or district attorney to coerce confessions and wrongly prosecute someone who can’t be guilty. Whom does that serve? How does it protect a city to let the real criminal go free?
This is gonna be a depressing and enraging film, isn’t it? *sigh*
